“I’ve spent the last few months traveling across Jackson and Calhoun counties and the message I am hearing is clear: Lansing is not getting the job done. The politicians in Lansing just don’t seem to care about us here at home. I hope you’ll take a moment to read through my 4 point plan to create jobs NOW.” – Mike Nofs

JOBS FIRST. JOBS NOW.

Whether as a State Trooper, County Commissioner, or State Representative Mike Nofs has spent his entire career fighting for us. As Michigan's economy continues to struggle, we need new thinking and new ideas in Lansing. Mike believes that it's time to end the petty politics and focus on helping Michigan workers and families get ahead. Mike's top priority is to improve our quality of life and create more opportunities here so people won't have to leave Michigan to find a job. You can read his plan by clicking here.

  • As Chairman of the Calhoun County Board of Commissioners Mike Nofs was instrumental in passing the Calhoun County Senior Mileage and implementing the Senior Prescription Discount Program - one of the first of its kind in the state.

Opponents cannot argue that Rep. Nofs has not been in touch with his community and constituents. Mike has been participating in numerous and varied activities and events, including reading to young students; participating in the Freedom to Learn program; helping to build a Habitat for Humanity House in Albion; speaking to adult education GED graduates; and announcing economic and infrastructure grants for the area.
